Preparations before installation and commissioning of the extrusion machine
2026
I.Infrastructure Preparation
1. Site and Space Layout
1) Ensure the installation area has a flat and firm surface capable of supporting the weight of the equipment (especially large extruder units).
2) Your company can provide workshop drawings, and we will draw a machine layout diagram. Your company can then arrange the machines according to the diagram, reserving sufficient space for operation and maintenance: at least 1.5 meters of space should be left in front of and behind the equipment for easy loading, traction, maintenance, and mold replacement.
3) Plan the routing of water, electricity, and gas pipelines rationally to avoid cross-interference.
2. Power System
1) Provide a power supply (voltage, frequency, number of phases) that meets the equipment requirements.
2) Equip with an independent distribution cabinet, ensuring reliable grounding, insulation resistance ≥1MΩ, and grounding resistance ≤0.1Ω.
3) It is recommended to install a voltage stabilizer or UPS to prevent voltage fluctuations from affecting the control system.
3. Water Cooling and Pneumatic System
1) Connect to the cooling water circulation system, ensuring stable water pressure (generally 0.3~0.5MPa), clean water free of impurities, and preventing blockage of cooling channels.
2) Provide a clean compressed air source, maintaining a pressure of 0.6~0.8 MPa, equipped with a filter and dryer to prevent moisture and oil from entering pneumatic components.
II . Personnel and Training Arrangements
- Arrange at least two operators familiar with basic mechanical and electrical knowledge to participate in the entire equipment commissioning process.
- Receive safety operation and daily maintenance training provided by us in advance, mastering key skills such as emergency shutdown, parameter adjustment, and mold replacement.
-
Operators should be equipped with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE):
high-temperature resistant gloves, safety glasses, noise-canceling earplugs, flame-retardant work clothes, and safety shoes.
III. Material and Process Preparation
1. Raw Material Preparation
1) Prepare plastic raw materials that meet the process requirements and complete the drying process (e.g., PE and PP need to be dried at 60–80°C for 2–4 hours).
2) Raw materials should be sieved to remove lumps and impurities to prevent clogging of the feed inlet or damage to the screw.
2. Materials and Tools
1) Prepare cleaning materials (such as LDPE or special cleaning materials) for screw cleaning before the new machine's trial run.
2) Prepare commonly used tools: wrenches, thermometers, diameter gauges, feeler gauges, etc., as well as special tools for mold assembly and disassembly.
IV. Other Preparations
- Once your company estimates the time required for our engineers to arrive at your factory, we will prepare a schedule for our engineers.
- We will estimate the service time at your factory, and we kindly ask your company to arrange the corresponding funds.
- Once both parties have confirmed the dates, we would appreciate it if your company could arrange the airfare, hotel, and meals to be as compatible as possible with Chinese dietary and lifestyle habits.
